Tata Nexon, Kia Sonet and Maruti Brezza: Tata Motors introduced the latest model of Nexon SUV in the midst of this month i.e is on September 14. The prices of the newly launched sub compact SUV starts from Rs. 8.10 lakh (ex-showroom) which goes upto Rs. 13 lakh for the top end variant. Athough there is no change in the powerhouse of the car, but the automaker has added two new gearbox options in the vehicle which are a five-speed manual and a seven-speed DCT unit. The newly launched iteration of Tata Nexon Facelift has some rivals in the same category and price segment like Kia Sonet and Maruti Brezza. Tata Nexon Facelift
The newly launched Nexon is offered in two engine options by the company which are a 1.2 litre turbo petrol and a 1.5 litre diesel engine.
The 1.2 litre turbo petrol engine churns out the maximum power of 118 bhp and a peak torque of 170 Nm, this powertrain is offered with a five speed manual transmission, six speed manual, six speed AMT and the new one Seven speed DCT transmission. On the other hand, 1.5 litre diesel powertrain generates the maximum power of 113 bhp and a peak torque of 260 Nm which is coupled with a six speed AMT and six speed manual gearbox. Kia Sonet is offered with three engine options- 1.2 litre NA petrol, a 1.0 litre turbo-petrol and a 1.5 litre diesel engine. These powertrains comes mated to five speed manual, a seven speed DCT and a six speed iMT. On the other hand, diesel engine is offered with six- speed torque converter. Maruti Suzuki Brezza
Maruti Brezza is one among the most popular Sub compact SUVs in India. The vehicle is offered with a single 1.5 litre petrol engine which generates the maximum power of 103 bhp and a peak torque of 138 Nm. The engine comes mated to the six speed manual and automatic gearbox. The automatic gearbox options also comes with mild hybrid technology which also provides an improved mileage.
