Engines
A brand-new C series Maruti Suzuki engine powers the Baleno. This 1.2-litre engine produces 113 Nm of torque and 89 horsepower of power. Maruti has replaced its previous CVT automatic transmission with a new, affordable 5-speed AMT system. The new engine is smoother and much more effective than the older one. According to ARAI certification, the Maruti Baleno has the best fuel efficiency in its class, with the manual transmission averaging 22.34 km/l and the automatic transmission averaging 22.94 km/l.
In India, the i20 has three engine choices. They consist of two petrol and one diesel. The latter is a 1.5-litre turbo engine renowned for its powerful and zippy performance. It has a 6-speed manual transmission and produces 240 Nm of torque and 100 PS of power. A 1200cc non-turbo engine with the MT gearbox and the IVT (CVT) automatic transmission each provide 83 and 88 PS, respectively, in the petrol category. Both transmission options’ maximum torque, 115 Nm, stays the same. The second petrol engine has a 1000cc turbocharger and produces 120 PS and 172 Nm of torque. Both an iMT unit and a 7-speed DCT auto are available with this.
Features
LED projector headlamps, LED fog lamps, and 16-inch alloy wheels are all standard on the new Maruti Suzuki Baleno. Also, it features a brand-new cruise control system and a head-up display (HUD) for crucial driver instrumentation, both firsts for the segment. The 9-inch SmartPlay Pro+ HD infotainment system is partnered with an Arkamys-tuned Surround Sense audio system, as well as rear AC vents, an auto-dimming inside rearview mirror, and other additional features. Six airbags, stability control, hill hold assistance, back parking sensors, ABS, and EBD are some of the most important safety features. The price of the Baleno begins at 6.56 lakh rupees. Baleno has 9 variations and 6 colour choices. Baleno petrol variants are priced from Rs. 6.56 Lakh to Rs. 9.83 Lakh. Baleno CNG versions are priced starting at Rs. 8.30 Lakh and going up to Rs. 9.23 Lakh for the top CNG model. There are two varieties of the Baleno automatic vehicle, with prices starting at Rs. 7.95 Lakh.
Hyundai I20 costs between Rs. 7.19 Lakh and Rs. 12.27 Lakh in India. The Hyundai i20 comes in a range of models, with the 1.2 Petrol Magna MT starting at 7.19 lakh and the 1.0 Turbo Petrol Asta(O) DCT A/T Dual Tone reaching 12.27 lakh.
