Maruti Suzuki: At the 2023 Auto Expo in Greater Noida in January, Maruti Suzuki India Limited is anticipated to host the world premieres of two brand-new automobiles. Both of them have already been observed testing on open roads numerous times. One will most likely be the five-door Jimny lifestyle off-road vehicle designed specifically for India, while the other would be based on the Baleno.
Maruti Suzuki YTB
The high-end hatchback underwent a significant redesign earlier this year, and the future model will be more expensive than the Baleno and styled like a coupe. However, it’s possible that the Grand Vitara midsize SUV served as a major design inspiration. It will be placed below the Grand Vitara, possibly next to the most recent Brezza.
The five-door Jimny might be released after the Baleno cross, internally known as YTB, enters dealerships in the months following its world premiere. The crossover’s 1.0-liter three-cylinder turbocharged petrol engine will provide power, and it is likely to share the Heartect platform with the Baleno.
The 1.5-liter K15C mild-hybrid petrol engine featured in the Brezza, Grand Vitara, Ertiga, and XL6 might be added, as could the existing 1.2-liter petrol or the 100 PS Boosterjet petrol engine previously found in the Baleno RS, allowing the country’s largest automaker to provide a wide choice of vehicles.
5-Door Jimny
Compared to the international three-door Jimny Sierra, the five-door Jimny will be roomier, and it will come standard with a 1.5-liter petrol engine that sends power to all four wheels. Although it will have a longer wheelbase and longer rear doors, it will retain the distinctive design of the international model. It will compete against the five-door Force Gurkha and the future Mahindra Thar.
