Moto Morini: A recent design patent reveals that Moto Morini is working on a cruiser powered by the same engine, a 649cc parallel twin, expanding its two-model 650cc lineup.
Moto Morini New 650cc Cruiser
Design
A motorbike with a raked-out front end and a swoop down from the headstock, past the fuel tank, and to the rider’s seat is depicted in the design patent. This design features details like a small cowl around the headlight, a flyscreen, and bar-end mirrors, so it isn’t nearly as retro as the newly unveiled Royal Enfield Super Meteor 650.
There is more than a passing resemblance to the Honda Rebel models overall, and the fuel tank is likewise more square-like than the curvy ones you see on classic cruisers. The enormous radiator shroud, which is unquestionably far bigger than the radiator itself, is also noteworthy.
Engine
The Seiemmezzo and X-Cape models are already powered by this engine, therefore it is a well-known piece. The chassis, however, is brand-new. Instead of the USD fork and mono-shock suspension found on other MM 650s, this one has a double-cradle design with suspension that consists of a telescopic fork and dual shocks.

Launch in India
As design patents are typically submitted close to the start of a new model’s production run, this Morini cruiser should soon be nearing completion. It wouldn’t be surprising to see this model join the fray in India given that the remainder of the company’s 650cc line is available in our market.
