Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan said that everyone has the right on the resources available on the earth. Our priority is to provide all facilities for the welfare of the poor. Working with commitment, the state government is running many schemes in the interest of the poor.
Chief Minister Chouhan on Monday evening gave 23 crore 35 lakh 70 thousand rupees in the accounts of women heads of 2 lakh 33 thousand 570 families of special backward tribes Saharia, Baiga and Bharia as nutritional allowance in the diet grant scheme. An amount of one thousand rupees was transferred in the personal accounts of these women for the month of September. Tribal Welfare Affairs Minister Meena Singh virtually participated on this occasion. Principal Secretary of the department Dr. Pallavi Jain Govil was present.
The Chief Minister said that to maintain the health and nutrition of the sisters of the special backward tribes Sahariya, Baiga and Bharia, the Food Grant Scheme was started from the year 2017. Since then, an amount of one thousand rupees each month is being transferred by the state government to the accounts of the sisters for nutritional food. He said that I am the brother of sisters and maternal uncle of daughters, so it is my duty to take full care of you. Free education, ration, housing and health facilities are being provided to the children of poor families.
