Powertrain details
With three internationally available powertrain options, the 2025 Duster’s engine lineup promises an exciting driving experience. The first engine option is a 1.0-litre turbocharged petrol engine that produces a lively 120 horsepower. A 1.2-litre petrol hybrid engine produces a decent 140 horsepower, making it suitable for individuals who are partial to hybrid technology. Still, the powerful 1.3-litre turbocharged petrol engine steals the show with an astounding 170 horsepower. Furthermore, at higher trim levels, this formidable engine can run on ethanol-mix fuel, making it the most potent engine ever included in a Duster.
Design details
Thanks to its robust and sculpted bonnet, large wheel arches, body cladding, and useful roof rails, the new Duster has a tough exterior appearance. In the front, it has a redesigned, slimmer grille, fog lamps, broad air intakes on the front bumper, and Y-shaped LED DRLs with chrome inserts. Alloy multi-spoke wheels with two tones are now fitted to it. The rear door handle is also located on the pillar rather than the door, as it was in the previous generation.
With an enlarged split roof spoiler, Y-shaped LED taillights, a redesigned bumper, and a creased tailboard, the SUV’s rear end receives a more contemporary aesthetic. A silver faux skid plate, a typical radio antenna, and a rear wiper with a washer are among the other obvious elements.
Features onboard
The latest Duster also receives a makeover inside. The bulky dashboard, which appears to have taken cues for its air vent design from a Lamborghini Urus, is dominated by a 10.1-inch floating infotainment system.
The styling is crisp throughout, with well-defined edges in every piece. Underneath the central air conditioning vents are physical HVAC control buttons, and there are numerous storage compartments throughout. The dedicated phone holder situated between the touchscreen and the digital driver’s display is a very nice addition.
Launch in India and expected price
After a three-year absence, Renault is expected to make a return to India with the Duster sometime in 2025, priced at approximately Rs 10 lakh (ex-showroom).
