Nio ET9: With the release of its newest model, the ET9 executive sedan, Nio, the creative Chinese electric vehicle (EV) maker, has taken a risk in the luxury automobile industry. This luxury EV is a demonstration of Nio’s technological superiority as well as a statement of luxury, and it represents a turning point in China’s evolving involvement in the global EV market. Nio ET9 powertrain details
The ET9 has a special 1,200-volt silicon carbide (SIC) power module in addition to a new 900-volt electrical system. This allows a 159-mile energy top-up in only five minutes, with battery charging at up to 600 kW and a peak charging curve of 765 amps.
Features onboard
There are four seats in a two-plus-two configuration inside the luxurious cabin of the ET9.
Specifically made for this model, the rear seats have an 18-way electronic adjustment system and a reclining function that allows the seat back angle to drop as low as 45 degrees.
In addition, there are fold-out tables, a 10-liter small fridge, an electric sunshade system that can cover up to seven spots, and a full-length glass canopy inside.
For the benefit of rear passengers, two 14.5-inch OLED screens are installed on the back of the front seats.
Price details
Early in 2025, Nio plans to release the ET9, its most expensive and ambitious model to yet, which will retail for about 800,000 yuan (about $112,151).
