In Bihar, the alliance between BJP and JDU broke down. Nitish Kumar will resign from the post of Chief Minister today. This big decision was taken after the meeting held at the house of Chief Minister Nitish Kumar on Tuesday.
After this, now a new government will be formed in Bihar with the cooperation of JDU and Lalu Yadav’s party Rashtriya Janata Dal. The Congress has already announced its support to the new government headed by Nitish and Tejashwi.
ANI quoted sources as saying that in the JDU meeting, all the party MPs and MLAs supported Chief Minister Nitish Kumar’s decision and said that they are all with him. They said that they will always be with them no matter what the decision is.
In view of the changing political situation in the state, CM Nitish Kumar and RJD leader Tejashwi are going to meet in a short while in the state capital Patna. Both of them may go together to meet Governor Fagu Chauhan at Raj Bhavan.
News agency ANI has quoted sources as saying that Lalu Yadav is keeping a close watch on every activity himself. But everything will be done only through Tejashwi Yadav.
Here, a meeting was also going on at Rabri Devi residence, in which further steps were being considered. According to reports, Chief Minister Nitish Kumar has sought time from the Governor. The time to meet Governor Fagu Singh Chauhan can be fixed at around 4 pm. A meeting between the two could be possible in just thirty minutes.
Many factors are responsible for the breakdown of the alliance.
According to sources, not because of any one incident, but in the last year and a half, the way BJP and JDU have come face to face on different issues, they have all gone on increasing this distance. If we talk about the recent events, Nitish had an argument with the speaker first, then during the Agneepath scheme, BJP leaders questioned Nitish and later provided central security to all of them.
Along with this, Nitish had his own expectations from the presidential and vice-presidential elections. It is clear that there have been many such issues one by one, due to which the distance between BJP and JDU kept increasing. Although efforts were made to bridge this distance, but it could not happen.
BJP National General Secretary Vinod Tawde has said on the ongoing political developments in Bihar that the BJP high command is keeping an eye on this entire development.
Vinod Tawde said that he will answer why Nitish Kumar is taking such a decision. Despite BJP having more MLAs, BJP made Nitish Kumar of JDU as the Chief Minister.
