Powertrain details
The S1 Pro Gen 2 is propelled by an 11 kW frame-mounted motor. The e-scooter has a top speed of 120 kmph and can accelerate from 0 to 40 kmph in 2.6 seconds. It includes a 4 kWh battery pack with a True Range (claimed real-world range) of up to 180km (Eco Mode). The claimed ARAI range, on the other hand, is 195 km. It takes roughly 6.5 hours to charge the battery pack completely.
For the Simple One, Simple Energy has used a 7kW (peak power) motor with a best-in-class 72Nm output. This allows the scooter to accelerate from 0 to 40kmph in just 2.77 seconds, making it the quickest electric scooter (on paper) to hit the market in India.
Features on board
The Ola S1 Pro Gen 1 has a sophisticated full-LED lighting system, a 7-inch touch-enabled TFT display with smartphone communication through Bluetooth, and compatibility for WiFi, LTE, and GPS. Notable features include side-stand recognition and anti-theft alerts, geofencing, reverse mode, Get Home mode, Take Me Home lighting, and a Limp Home mode. The MoveOS 3.0 OTA update adds three riding modes (Bolt, Vintage, and Eclipse), a vacation mode for extended battery preservation during periods of inactivity, proximity-based unlocking, simulated motor sounds, hill hold assist, three levels of regenerative braking, Hypercharging (which provides 50km of range in just 15 minutes), Bluetooth calling, and even key sharing.
Simple Energy has outfitted the Simple One with an LED headlamp, a 7-inch instrument dashboard, and Bluetooth navigation. You may also make phone calls, listen to music, and store documents. Not only that, but the Simple One also gets OTA updates, geo-fencing, a tyre pressure monitoring system, and vehicle tracking, among other things. A 4G LTE sim card and Bluetooth are provided for connectivity. The Simple One has a 30-litre underseat storage capacity and weighs 110kg.
