Consider the transition from internal combustion engines to electric motors. On the one hand, we have established producers like TVS, a company renowned for producing scooters and motorbikes with excellent engineering. On the other hand, there are start-ups like Ola Electric that aim to revolutionise personal mobility by fundamentally reimagining what a scooter may be like rather than merely starting over as an EV manufacturer.

Verdict

Both e-scooters are rather fully loaded and have distinctive qualities of their own. While the Ola S1’s built-in speakers and keyless entry feature might entice youthful customers, I still think TVS iQube’s physical key access is more practical.

On paper, the TVS iQube S version doesn’t compare favourably to the Ola S1. We cannot, however, ignore the fact that many Ola S1 Pro users have experienced a variety of software-related problems that have hampered their user experience.
