Oppo Find X7 Pro: In September, Oppo and Sony announced a strategic alliance that will see the use of Sony’s new Lytia dual-layer stacked CMOS sensors in the forthcoming Oppo flagship phones. Another teaser for Sony Lytia’s LYT-900 imaging sensor, which is anticipated to make its debut on the Find X7 Pro soon, was just posted on the company’s Weibo account. In this article, we will share all we know about this sensor.
Sony Lytia LYT-900
The top model in Sony’s LYT series of camera sensors is the LYT-900. It has an impressive 50-megapixel one-inch sensor with 1.6μm individual pixels. This corresponds to a 16.384 mm (diagonal) sensor size.
The LYT-900 also makes use of stacked CMOS technology, which comprises two distinct layers: one for the photodiode and one for the transistor. This makes it possible to use physically larger diodes, which catch more light and produce amazing image quality—especially in low light.
Oppo Find X7 Pro to feature a Sony Lytia LYT-900?
Although it’s unclear which phone will be the first to use the LYT-900, rumours suggest it will be the soon-to-be Oppo Find X7 Pro. The Find X7 Pro is anticipated to debut in January 2024 alongside the Find X7 and is said to have an amazing quad-camera configuration that includes the LYT-900 primary sensor. A 50-megapixel ultra-wide lens and two telephoto lenses with 3x and 6x optical zoom will complement it.
