Trinamool Congress (TMC) leaders in West Bengal are not taking the name of reducing their difficulties. This time ‘Kuber’s treasure’ has been recovered from Trinamool MLA and former Jangipur minister Jakir Hussain’s house. The Income Tax Department recovered Rs 11 crore from Hussain’s house, office, godown, factory. Apart from Jangipur, the Income Tax Department also launched a campaign in Delhi and Kolkata. So far a total of Rs 15 crore has been recovered.
Actually, income tax raids are going on continuously against TMC MLAs. Under this, the Income Tax Department raided the residential and factory premises of Trinamool MLA Jakir Hussain in Murshidabad last day (January 11). IT raids and searches continued for several hours at TMC MLA’s house.
Rs 9 crore recovered only from the office
According to sources in the Income Tax Department, so far crores of rupees have been seized from three places. 9 crores were found from only one office of Trinamool MLA. Now questions are being raised that where did all this money come from? Why was the cash hidden? The Income Tax Department has started the investigation to get to the bottom of the matter.
20 vehicles of IT had reached to raid
About 20 vehicles of the Income Tax Department had reached to raid all the places. It is being told that Income Tax raided the places of some beedi traders as well. Along with this, searches were also conducted at the house of Hussain’s manager. IT raids were conducted at four places in Kolkata. IT took this big action after allegations of tax evasion.
