US President Joe Biden has targeted Pakistan. During a fund-raising event for the US mid-term elections, Biden called Pakistan one of the most dangerous countries in the world. Not only this, Biden also targeted countries like Italy and Hungary.
Significantly, Biden has been continuously making statements on the deteriorating state of democracy in right-wing countries and countries supporting Putin in the Russo-Ukraine war. In this episode, he surrounded these three countries. The US President surrounded Pakistan and said that this country has stockpiled nuclear weapons without any reconciliation.
The timing of Biden’s statement is very important. Actually, recently Pakistan’s Army Chief General Qamar Javed Bajwa was in America. Here he also met many other leaders along with the US Defense Minister. It was believed that this meeting of Bajwa would prove to be important for the relationship between America and Pakistan. However, now Biden’s statement has once again exposed the rift in US-Pakistan relations.
Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban is considered very close to Russian President Vladimir Putin. Regarding this, Biden said, “You look at the ongoing discussions around the world, especially on this issue of what democracy means but when you look at Hungary, which is a NATO member. I can bore you by telling you about his democracy.”
US ambassador summoned
Pakistan has summoned the US ambassador. Foreign Minister Bilawal Bhutto Zardari said on Saturday that we have decided to summon the US ambassador following the statement made by US President Joe Biden about the country’s nuclear capability.
