Petrol and Diesel Price Update: Thursday, 29 December, saw no big changes in the cost of petrol and diesel. In the previous seven months, fuel prices have remained unaffected on large basis. Every day at 6:00 AM, the oil companies update their fuel prices. In May, the Center reduced the excise duty on petrol by Rs 8 per litre and on diesel by Rs 6 per litre, causing the last significant nationwide change in fuel prices.

Each day at 6 am, the price of petrol and diesel is adjusted. The daily price of petrol and diesel is also available via SMS. Clients of Indian Oil can obtain information by sending their city code and RSP to the number 9224992249, whereas customers of BPCL can do so by sending their RSP to the number 9223112222. Sending HP Price to the number 9222201122 would inform HPCL customers of the price.
