PM Narendra Modi inaugurate Pradhanmantri Sangrahalaya: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday (April 14) inaugurated a newly built museum dedicated to the Prime Ministers of the country in the Teen Murti Bhawan complex of the capital Delhi on the occasion of Ambedkar Jayanti.
This museum has been inaugurated during the ‘Azadi Ke Amrit Mahotsav’ being celebrated across the country to commemorate 75 years of independence.
According to the Prime Minister’s Office (PMO), this museum, guided by the vision of Modi, is a tribute to the contribution of all the former Prime Ministers of the country.
PM Narendra Modi bought the first ticket (Pradhanmantri Sangrahalaya Ticket) in the ‘Pradhan Mantri Sangrahalaya’ and then took the entry.
The Prime Minister’s Museum (Pradhanmantri Sangrahalaya) tells the story of post-independence India through the lives and contributions of the Prime Ministers of the country. This museum is a tribute to every Prime Minister of the country after independence, irrespective of their tenure and whatever their ideology.
The Prime Minister’s Office (PMO) said that this museum has a seamless blend of old and new. The erstwhile Teen Murti Bhawan has been developed as Block One and the newly constructed building as Block Two. The total area of both the blocks is 15,600 square meters. There are a total of 43 galleries in this museum. According to the PMO, ‘The construction of the museum is inspired by the story of emerging India and the shape given to it by its leaders. Sustainable and energy conservation practices have been kept in mind in its design. Not a single tree was felled or transplanted during the project.
