AAP, BJP tussle over CBI probe against Manish Sisodia

Deputy Chief Minister of Delhi Manish Sisodia said he might be arrested soon and that the liquor issue was just an excuse to target him since he was a minister under Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal.

Sisodia alleged that the raid against him was all political and had nothing to do with the alleged violations in Delhi’s Excise Policy.

“Maybe within the next 3-4 days, CBI-ED will arrest me… we won’t be scared, you won’t be able to break us… Elections of 2024 will be AAP vs BJP,” said Sisodia said at a press conference in the national capital today.

The AAP leader also claimed that the CBI decided to issue lookout notice after all their raids failed to unearth anything substantial. The agency, however, denied the Delhi minister’s claim.

Manish Sisodia is one of the 15 charged in a CBI FIR over suspected irregularities in the application of the excise policy.

Manish Sisodia attacked the prime minister Narendra Modi earlier in the day, claiming that the CBI had issued a lookout notice for him in the liquor policy case.

“I am roaming here freely. What is this gimmick Modi ji? Let me know where to come?” he asked.

“All your raids have failed, nothing was found. Now, you have issued a lookout notice against me. What is this gimmick Modi ji? I am right here in Delhi, please tell me where should I come,” Sisodia said in a tweet.

Hours after Sisodia’s fresh jibe, the Delhi unit of the BJP held a presser in the national capital where party leader Adesh Gupta said: “Sisodia ji… the scam that you have done… you won’t get a greeting card for it but a CBI circular.”
