AAP: Two separate FIRs filed against BJP politician Tajinder Pal Singh Bagga and former Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader Kumar Vishwas have been dismissed by the Punjab and Haryana High Court.
Vishwas was arrested by the Punjab Police for allegedly making inflammatory remarks against AAP convener and Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, while Bagga was arrested in April in Mohali on suspicion of making inflammatory remarks, inciting animosity, and engaging in criminal intimidation.

In May, Vishwas filed a petition with the Punjab and Haryana High Court asking that the FIR be dismissed because it was unconstitutional, arbitrary, and unfair as well as a tool for “wreaking revenge through politically motivated criminal investigation using the state machinery.”
Bagga filed a petition with the high court in April asking for the FIR that had been filed against him as a result of a complaint made by Dr. Sunny Singh Ahluwalia, the spokesman for the AAP in Punjab. The lawsuit drew reference to a statement purportedly made by Bagga and said that it was premeditated, well-planned, and organised incitement to violence against Arvind Kejriwal and other AAP members.
