Samajwadi Party President Akhilesh Yadav can be a candidate from Karhal seat of Mainpuri in the UP assembly elections. Sources gave this information. This seat is said to be the safe seat of SP. Here since 1993, the SP has won here continuously. This seat was won by BJP only once in 2002-2007. Karhal seat comes in Mainpuri district, which has been a stronghold of the Yadav family.
It is worth noting that on the question of contesting the assembly elections, Akhilesh had said in response to the media question on Wednesday that I am an MP from Azamgarh, I will decide about it by asking the people there.
The SP chief had said that after coming to power in UP, we will start the Samajwadi Pension Yojana and under this we will give 18 thousand rupees every year to the needy.

On the question of Yadav family’s Aparna Yadav joining BJP, Akhilesh had said, ‘I will congratulate her very much. I am happy that the ideology of Samajwadi Party is spreading. I am sure our ideology will reach there (in BJP) and spread democracy. Netaji (Mulayam Singh Yadav) tried to convince her (Aparna) a lot. We are happy that BJP is giving tickets to those whom we were not able to give tickets.
