Akhilesh Yadav Samajwadi Party chief has decided to be in the fray in the upcoming Uttar Pradesh Assembly Elections, sources in the party have said. So if it is to be believed then this would be his first state election. While the seat from where he would contest is yet to be reveal, but it is speculated that he can contest from the Azamgarh and Etawah.
Earlier Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath also decided to fight the polls from Gorakhpur Urban seat. Yogi decision may also be the reason behind Akhilesh Yadav’s decision to fight the polls.

While Uttar Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Keshav Prasad Maurya also took a jibe at Akhilesh Yadav and said ‘he was afraid to contest the assembly elections and took a long time to find a safe place to contest from. He also asked Akhilesh Yadav to list out the development done in the state between 2012 and 2017. He said the former UP CM cannot compete with the development work done by the BJP in the state.’
The election to all 403 Assembly seats in Uttar Pradesh will be held in seven phases from February 10 to March 7.
