Amit Shah criticized Congress politics in his Puducherry tour

Union Home Minister and senior Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader Amit Shah was on a Puducherry tour today. Addressing an election meeting in Karaikal, he said that if the youth votes for the NDA, their government will reduce the unemployment rate in the Union Territory below 40 per cent.

Shah alleged that the erstwhile Congress government in Puducherry had done “petty politics” over the implementation of the central government’s schemes.

Shah said that the next government is going to be formed by NDA in Puducherry. He said, “Not only in Puducherry but in the whole country, many Congress workers are joining BJP because there is no place of merit in Congress”. Legislative assembly elections are to be held in Puducherry.

Shah, addressing an election rally of the BJP here, claimed that the Congress government, which had fallen earlier this month after losing majority, did ‘petty politics’ over central plans for Puducherry. He accused the former Chief Minister of serving the ‘Gandhi family’ in Delhi and giving him ‘cut money’.

Shah criticized Narayanasamy for holding the BJP responsible for the fall of the Congress government, saying that many senior Congress leaders are leaving the party, ‘because it is towards the end of the country due to dynastic politics’.

Amit Shah said, ‘After Modi became the Prime Minister, we were trying to make Puducherry a model state in the whole country. The Prime Minister sent 115 more schemes for this and took steps for the all-round development of the state. But the government here did not allow these schemes to hit the ground. He further said, ‘Congress is alleging that the BJP toppled their government here. Hey, you had made the Chief Minister such a person who lied in front of his supreme leader even in translation, such a person was made the Chief Minister.

The Home Minister said, ‘Narayanasamy’s government did the work to flush the Ganges of corruption in Puducherry. 15 thousand crore rupees were sent by the Government of India for the development of this place. Has this money come to your villages? Narayanasamy’s government sent Rs 15,000 crore to Delhi for Gandhi family’s service. He said, ‘Narendra Modi ji’s central government has done a lot of work for the development of Puducherry. Puducherry has been connected to Bangalore and Hyderabad under UDAN scheme to promote tourism inside Puducherry.
