Assembly Election 2023 Result

Assembly Election 2023 Result: On Sunday, BJP leader CT Ravi poked fun at Congressman Rahul Gandhi as preliminary results indicated the BJP had won handily in three states: Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, and Chhattisgarh.

BJP’s Electoral Triumph in Madhya Pradesh

The BJP is predicted to win 155 seats in Madhya Pradesh, compared to the Congress’s 72 seats. The BJP passed the halfway point in Rajasthan compared to the Congress’s seventy. With 47 seats to the Congress’s 43 in Chhattisgarh, the BJP leads the opposition party. ‘Who is the biggest Panauti?’, CT Ravi wrote on X (formerly Twitter) and also tagged Rahul Gandhi and Congress party in his post.

CT Ravi’s Allusion Sparks Political Banter

Regarding Rahul Gandhi’s previous ‘panauti’ remark directed at Prime Minister Narendra Modi, CT Ravi was alluding to it. Rahul Gandhi had earlier referred to Prime Minister Narendra Modi as a “panauti” (bad omen) during a rally in Barmer, Rajasthan, and asserted that India’s defeat in the World Cup final last month was due to his presence in the Narendra Modi stadium.

Rahul Gandhi’s ‘Panauti’ Remark Sparks Controversy

Ache bhale hamare ladke waha pe World Cup jeet jaate, par panauti harwa diya (our boys were almost winning the World Cup, but the ‘bad omen’ made them lose),” the Congress leader had said. The Congress party was contacted by the ECI to provide a response after Rahul Gandhi made disparaging remarks about Prime Minister Modi, calling him a “panauti” and a “Jaibkatra” (pickpocket). The notification was sent out the day after the BJP filed a complaint against the Wayanad MP with the poll panel, arguing that the MP’s use of language was “unbecoming” of a senior official.
