Awadh Ojha

Popular educator Awadh Ojha is making headlines for potentially joining the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP), just ahead of the upcoming Delhi Assembly Elections. Known for his educational initiatives and influence in Purvanchal, Uttar Pradesh, and Bihar, Ojha has garnered political interest in the past, but this time speculation centers on his alignment with AAP.

Reports suggest that Ojha met with Delhi Chief Minister and AAP leader Arvind Kejriwal, sparking rumors of his imminent political debut. According to sources, Ojha is likely to announce his entry into AAP during an event scheduled for this evening.

Ojha’s Previous Political Engagements

This is not the first time Ojha’s political aspirations have come under scrutiny. During the 2024 Lok Sabha elections, he was associated with several parties, including BSP, BJP, and Congress.

  • BJP: Ojha reportedly expressed interest in contesting from the Prayagraj Lok Sabha constituency, even meeting with Uttar Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Keshav Prasad Maurya. However, his ticket request was unsuccessful.
  • Congress: Discussions were held about Ojha contesting against Smriti Irani from Amethi, but no agreement was reached.
  • BSP: Ojha was offered a ticket by BSP chief Mayawati to contest from the Phulpur Lok Sabha constituency, which he ultimately declined, deciding to stay away from active politics.

Rising Speculation

The potential move to join AAP comes after his decision to remain politically inactive during previous opportunities. Ojha's supporters and political observers are keenly awaiting his official announcement, which could signal a significant shift in his career and add momentum to AAP's campaign.

As the Delhi Assembly elections approach, this development could have a notable impact, given Ojha’s widespread influence in northern India.
