West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee said that the ruthless authoritarian and majoritarian politics has been defeated in the Karnataka assembly elections. Congratulating the people of the state, he said, ‘My salute to the people of Karnataka for giving a decisive mandate in favor of change. Brutal authoritarian and majoritarian politics has been defeated.’
Mamata Banerjee said, “My salute to the people of Karnataka for the decisive mandate in favor of change!! Brutal authoritarian and majoritarian politics is defeated!! When people want to conquer plurality and democratic forces, no central design to dominate can stifle their instinct, that’s the moral of the story, the lesson for tomorrow.”
Mamata Banerjee said that this is the beginning of the downfall of BJP. It is the beginning of 2024. There is BJP in Uttar Pradesh but Akhilesh will do well, I am with him.If you start from South, then Karnataka, Telangana, Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh, then Bengal, Bihar, Jharkhand, then Maharashtra, Punjab, Delhi were the peak time of formation of government in these states, but now they (BJP) have not even crossed 100 seats.
According to the Election Commission, till 5.30 pm, the Congress has won 121 seats. And it is leading in 15 seats. 113 seats are needed to form the government in the state. Whereas BJP has won 56 seats and is leading on 8. On the other hand, JDS of former Chief Minister HD Kumaraswamy and former Prime Minister HD Deve Gowda has won 18 and is leading in 2.
At the same time, this is a big victory for the Congress. Congress leader Rahul Gandhi said after the victory that he congratulates the people of Karnataka, the workers, the leaders and all the leaders who worked in Karnataka. On the other hand there was power of poor people, Congress party was with the poor in Karnataka. Karnataka told that this country likes love. The market of hatred has closed in Karnataka, the shops of love are open.
