In a news conference, senior BJP leader Ravi Shankar Prasad detailed the issues that were covered at the national executive meeting on Monday. JP Nadda, the head of the BJP, stated at the meeting that the party must contest nine Assembly elections this year and should not even lose any of them.
Further Ravi Shankar Prasad stated:
“BJP president said 2023 is very important. We have to fight and win nine state elections this year and then general elections in 2024,” Ravi Shankar Prasad said.

Party identifies and strengthens Booths
He also added “The prime minister had said that we have to strengthen booths where we are weak. 72,000 such booths had been identified earlier. Today, the BJP president said that 1.30 lakh booths had in fact been strengthened,”
The meeting was attended by the chief ministers of the states where the BJP is in power, various Union ministers, Prime Minister Narendra Modi, and BJP president JP Nadda.
Review of just concluded Assembly Elections
The BJP chief also spoke about the just-concluded elections, describing Gujarat’s triumph as historic Nadda stated on the Himachal elections that we were meant to stop the custom of changing governments, but we were unable to do so.
Prasad said that Nadda also discussed the importance of having leaders within the party who represent various societal groups.
India’s advances in mobile technology, auto manufacturing, Vande Bharat railways, and economy overtaking of the UK were emphasised at the National Executive meeting.
