BJP Set to Entrust Chief Ministerial Positions to Fresh Faces After Recent Assembly Election 2023 Wins, Report

Assembly Election 2023

Assembly Election 2023: Revanth Reddy, the leader of the Telangana Congress, is expected to succeed him as the state’s chief minister, the party declared on Tuesday. During a press briefing, Congress General Secretary KC Venugopal revealed that the swearing-in ceremony is set for December 7.

ZPM’s Electoral Triumph

President Lalduhoma of the Zoram Peoples’ Movement (ZPM) is expected to take over as Mizoram’s chief minister after his party won a landslide victory in the state assembly elections. The Mizo National Front (MNF), which is in power, came in second place with 10 seats, far behind the opposition ZPM’s 27 seats out of 40. Both the Congress and the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) were able to secure two seats in the assembly.

BJP’s Post-Poll Plans

According to sources, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) intends to designate new leaders in the states of Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, and Rajasthan as Chief Ministers in place of the recently concluded assembly polls. But the important job of choosing possible chief ministerial candidates to head new cabinets for the next five years lies with the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP).

Chhattisgarh Speculation

The BJP will have to choose between Vasundhara Raje, Diya Kumari, and Baba Balaknath in Rajasthan, or it may present an unexpected candidate. Veteran politician Raman Singh is regarded as a serious candidate in Chhattisgarh for the position of chief minister. In a similar vein, Shivraj Singh Chouhan, the four-time chief minister of Madhya Pradesh, is probably going to run for a fifth term.
