Some BJP allies are also eyeing the cabinet expansion. JDU national president RCP Singh had said on Monday that whenever the cabinet expansion takes place, JDU will become a part of it.
Speaking to ANI, RCP Singh said, “I have said earlier also. Whenever the cabinet expansion takes place, JDU will be a part of it, because JDU is part of NDA have said about this in the past and I am still saying that there is no doubt about it.” There are many vacancies in the Union Cabinet. First the separation of Shiv Sena and Shiromani Akali Dal from BJP and then Lok Janshakti Party. After the death of Ram Vilas Paswan, many ministerial posts are being made in the Union Cabinet has been two years for the NDA government after the BJP’s re-victory in the 2019 Lok Sabha elections.
PTI quoted its sources as saying that for the past one week, Prime Minister Narendra Modi has been meeting personally with Union ministers, including Rajnath Singh and Nitin Gadkari. In these meetings, the Prime Minister has discussed many issues along with reviewing the work done by the Central Government in the last two years.

Speculation of JDU’s share in the Union Cabinet intensified when Nitish Kumar reached Delhi. According to media reports, Nitish Kumar while talking to the press said that the share in the cabinet will be decided by the Prime Minister. Its decision is up to them.
Nitish Kumar termed the talk of meeting the Prime Minister as baseless and denied it. He said that everyone is together and there is nothing to dispute. Recently, JDU’s national president RCP Singh has continuously claimed that JDU is going to join the cabinet expansion of the central government.
On reaching Delhi, Nitish said that he had come here for eye treatment. He has no plans to meet the Prime Minister nor is he attending the Union Cabinet meeting to be held on Wednesday. He said that we are working together in Bihar. JDU and BJP are together and there is no dispute between the two.
