The TMC has suffered a setback before the Bengal elections, summons has been issued by the CBI to Abhishek Banerjee, the nephew of Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee. According to the official, on Sunday, CBI reached Abhishek Banerjee’s residence in South Kolkata to give notice to the family members.
According to the investigating agency, a mobile number has also been given with the notice of inquiry, on which the accused have been asked to contact. Notice has also been issued by CBI to Maneka Gambhir, sister of Abhishek Banerjee’s wife.
Order received to contact CBI officer within 24 hours –
According to the information, the CBI wants to interrogate Abhishek’s wife, because his wife’s telegrams have been associated with the wives. This notice clearly states that Ruchira Banerjee will have to come to the CBI office Nizam Palace, but the CBI officer will inquire at her residence itself. Phone numbers have been given by CBI officials and they have been asked to contact the CBI officer within 24 hours.

Four officers of the Anti-Corruption Branch of the CBI went to Shantiniketan, Abhishek’s house, at 2 pm with a notice to his wife Rujira Banerjee Narula under Section 160 of CrPC.
