The ongoing tussle in Punjab Congress is not taking its name to stop. State in-charge Harish Rawat is constantly trying to establish a rapport between CM Captain Amarinder Singh and state party chief Navjot Sidhu, but now he has also accepted that everything is not right in Punjab Congress. Rawat said they cannot say that all is well but efforts are on. At the same time, he has also denied any discussion on the reshuffle in the Punjab cabinet.
Earlier, a marathon meeting was held between Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh and Punjab in-charge Harish Rawat. In the meeting, Rawat advised the Chief Minister to meet the angry ministers and MLAs to redress their grievances at the earliest. Apart from this, the issues of agriculture reform law, electricity agreement, drug and bus permits were asked to be resolved immediately.
After meeting Captain Amarinder Singh at Siswan Farm House, Punjab in-charge Harish Rawat told that the Chief Minister has been discussed on the 18-point agenda of the high command. Amarinder Singh has told that work is being done on all these issues. Apart from this, the Captain has been urged to meet the angry MLAs and ministers and persuade them. Amarinder has been asked to resolve some other major issues as well, he added. Rawat said that the Chief Minister has assured positive action on all the issues.
Before meeting the Chief Minister, Harish Rawat was met by Cabinet Minister OP Soni, MLAs Raja Vading and Mohammad Mustafa. NS. Mustafa said that there is a problem in the Congress, if I do not say this then I am lying. I have given suggestions to resolve this issue, if they are implemented then all the issues will be resolved. Raja Vading said that all the issues have been discussed with the Punjab in-charge. The issues raised by the ministers and MLAs so far are very important to be resolved. For this, intervention should be made by talking to Sonia Gandhi, then Rahul Gandhi.
