Election Commission’s Notice to Sharad Pawar Faction, Praful Patel Reacts

Sharad Pawar: The Sharad Pawar faction of the NCP has received a notification from the Election Commission (ECI). In this, a response to Ajit Pawar‘s suit against the party is being sought. Ajit Pawar, the deputy chief minister of Maharashtra, was requested in a letter from the Election Commission to respond to an allegation about the party’s name and emblem, according to the Sharad Pawar faction on Thursday (July 27).

The Sharad Pawar group’s representative, Clyde Crasto, promised to respond to the letter as quickly as possible. Praful Patel, the leader of the Ajit Pawar faction, declined to comment on the situation. I don’t want to comment on matters pertaining to the internal affairs of our party, Patel stated. He claimed that Sharad Pawar would always be our political hero, and that we wanted him to support the choice we had made. Patel claimed that we will persuade Sharad Pawar. Significantly, Ajit Pawar led a number of NCP MLAs in a rebellion on July 2. The party then broke apart as a result.

The Maharashtra administration, which is led by Eknath Shinde, swore in Ajit Pawar as the deputy chief minister. As cabinet ministers, eight additional NCP MLAs took their oaths of office. Following this, the Ajit Pawar group claimed the NCP’s name and symbol in a letter to the Election Commission. According to the statement, on June 30, 2023, Ajit Pawar was chosen by the NCP to lead the party. Sharad Pawar, however, made it plain that the party’s national president is present following Ajit Pawar’s uprising. Ajit Pawar recently met Sharad Pawar and the faction leaders several times as well.
