Elections Exit Poll 2023: According to exit polls, the BJP will win two of the three heartland states and the Congress will win one. They suggest that while Chief Minister of Chhattisgarh Bhupesh Baghel is able to keep his position, his counterpart in Rajasthan, Ashok Gehlot, may lose it. Additionally, there appears to be a good chance that Madhya Pradesh will vote for the BJP once more.

Congress Poised to Defeat Bharat Rashtra Samithi
The state of Telangana, where K Chandrasekhar Rao’s Bharat Rashtra Samithi has ruled since the state’s founding in 2014, may experience the largest upset. It appears clear from three exit polls that the Congress will defeat the BRS in this election. The Congress is also benefiting from a fourth. According to two exit polls, a hung house may occur in Mizoram. However, exit polls frequently get it wrong.
Bhupesh Baghel’s Performance Boosts Congress
The Congress, which has been relying on Bhupesh Baghel’s performance record for the past five years, is expected to win a second term in Chhattisgarh, according to nine exit polls. The party’s allotted number of seats has typically ranged from early 40s to mid-50s. In the state with 90 seats, 46 is the majority mark. However, there may be bad news for the Congress in neighbouring Madhya Pradesh, as Shivraj Singh Chouhan may not be able to be unseated. Despite losing in 2018, the three-time chief minister of the BJP returned to power in 2020 when Jyotiraditya Scindia of the Congress and his more than twenty supporters crossed over.
News24-Today’s Seat Distribution
The Chanakya report from News24-Today provides the most conclusive decision, awarding the BJP 151 out of the 230 seats in the state and the Congress 74. Some forecast a close contest. A lot of talk about an anti-incumbency movement against the BJP, which has controlled the state in large part since 2004, was present during the election. Chouhan is one of the BJP’s longest-serving Chief Ministers, having served four terms.
Tradition of Incumbent Removal in Rajasthan
Rajasthan, which has consistently removed the incumbent from office since the early 1990s, seems to be adhering to the tradition, dashing Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot’s hopes of defying the norm. Out of nine exit polls, seven have projected a BJP victory that will be easy to predict; only two give the Congress party a chance.
BJP’s Projected Dominance
According to most exit polls, the BJP will have more than 100 members in the 200-member house. Despite the fact that 199 seats were up for election after a Congress candidate passed away, 101 seats will make up the majority. Out of five exit polls conducted in Mizoram, only two indicate that the BJP and its ally, the Mizo National Front, have a chance to win. With a multi-cornered race that featured the up-and-coming regional party Zoram People’s Movement (ZPM), which put forth a youthful front for the state’s top position, the likelihood of hung house is high in the northeastern state.
Aam Aadmi Party’s Impact in Mizoram
The Aam Aadmi Party of Arvind Kejriwal, which entered the race as well, may drain votes for the MNF, which took home 26 of the 40 seats in the previous election. The Congress may find that Telangana, which is adjacent to Karnataka and where it defeated the BJP handily earlier this year, is the true sweet spot in this election. Since then, the party has intensified its campaign in Telangana, driven by the youthful enthusiasm of its state chief, Revanth Reddy Despite having contributed to the creation of Andhra Pradesh from the centre, Telangana has not been part of the Congress’s domain since the state’s separation from it in 2014.
Telangana Rashtra Samithi’s (Bharat Rashtra Samithi) Leadership Stability
It appeared unlikely that the Telangana Rashtra Samithi, which was renamed Bharat Rashtra Samithi in accordance with its leader’s aspirations for the country, would be overthrown given that K Chandrasekhar Rao, the leader of the statehood movement, was in charge of it. On Sunday, the votes for this election round—known as the semi-final before the general election of the following year—will be tallied.
