The name of the new Governor of West Bengal has been announced. Dr. CV Anand Bose has been appointed as the Governor of West Bengal. This announcement has been made by Rashtrapati Bhavan in a statement on Thursday (November 17).
A press release from Rashtrapati Bhavan said, “The President of India is pleased to appoint Dr. CV Anand Bose as the regular Governor of West Bengal. This appointment will be effective from the date he assumes the office.”
La Ganesan was handling additional charge
Doctor. Anand Bose is currently an advisor to the Government of Meghalaya. The appointment of 71-year-old CV Anand Bose comes months after former West Bengal Governor Jagdeep Dhankhar was elected the Vice President of India in August. In July, Manipur Governor L.A. Ganesan was sworn in as the new Governor of Bengal at the Raj Bhavan. This was Ganesan’s additional charge. When Jagdeep Dhankhar was the Governor of West Bengal, there was a deadlock between him and the TMC government.

CV Anand Bose has been awarded the Jawaharlal Nehru Fellowship. He is also the first Fellow of the Lal Bahadur Shastri National Academy of Administration in Mussoorie, where top civil service officers are trained. Anand Bose is also a writer, he has published 40 books in English, Malayalam and Hindi.
CV Ananda Bose was the chairman of the working group that prepared the development agenda for Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s government. His concept of “Affordable Housing for All” was adopted by the government.
