Ghulam Nabi Azad, the former chief minister of Jammu and Kashmir, will hold a news conference on Monday to introduce his new political party, according to sources from ANI. In response to a question regarding his new political party, Azad stated, “I will hold a press conference on Monday.”

Ghulam Nabi Azad persuaded a number of Congress workers in Jammu and Kashmir to leave the party after quitting the party through a harsh resignation letter that attacked the Gandhi family. These party members are rumoured to be joining the new party of the former J&K CM.

Ghulam Nabi Azad pledged three things from his new party at his inaugural rally following his resignation from the Congress party: full statehood for Jammu and Kashmir, the right to own land, and employment for people living in their original country.

Ghulam Nabi Azad quit the Congress party last month. In a five-page resignation letter, he attacked the Gandhi family, especially Rahul Gandhi. Azad criticised the previous leader of the Congress for his “childish behaviour” and dubbed him “immature.”
While Azad poked fun at Sonia Gandhi in the letter, Rahul Gandhi came under the heaviest criticism. Azad called the Wayand MP a “non-serious individual” and “immature.”
