Giriraj Singh: : Union Minister Giriraj Singh has sparked off a controversy yet again after calling ‘Godse’ as the son of India. The Minister had called the killer of Mahatma Gandhi as the ‘son of India’. The remark has created a massive controversy all across the Political fraternity drawing sharp reactions from the Political Parties. The Minister said that, if Godse is the killer of Mahatma Gandhi, then he is the ‘saput’ of ‘Bharat Mata’. Godse was born in India, he was not an invader like Aurangzeb and Babar.

Opposition hits out at Minister for his remark

The Minister’s statement had drawn sharp reactions from Political Parties, criticizing him for his statement. Senior Congress leader Kapil sibal has also hit out at Giriraj over the comment. He said that by this statement many may not call the BJP leader a ‘worthy son’ of the country. JDU spokesperson Neeraj Kumar attacks Giriraj for his remark saying, whatever the Minister has said is highly objectionable. If Godse is the true son of the country, then who are these martyrs Bhagat Singh, Ram Prasad Bismil and Praful Chaki?

BJP Leaders have a History of giving Controversial Remarks

Apart from Giriraj Singh, other BJP leaders have also been giving controversial statements in the past. BJP Chief Samrat Choudhary had raised the issue of Bangladeshi Infiltration and Love Jehad.
