Gujarat Elections: It has been a fascinating electoral contest in Gujarat and after thirty years the state has witnessed a triangular contest on majority of assembly seats. For long state has witnessed bi-polar contest between BJP and the Congress. However in this election , with the entry of Aam Aadmi Party (AAP), their has been an introduction of third dimension in the electoral contest of the state.
Second and Final Phase of Voting comes to an end in Gujarat
For BJP, Gujarat has been a citadel, and they have been in power in the state for the last 27 years uninterrupted. Being the home state of PM Narendra Modi and Home Minsiter Amit Shah , BJP ran a meticulous campaign and left no stone unturned with a mission to surpass 149 seats won by Madhavsinh Solanki in 1985.
Congress on the other hand ran a silent campaign and focused on door to door canvassing and Aam Aadmi Party ran a high decibel campaign in which it focused on giving freebies to the voters.

59% of Voting has been recorded in Second and Final Phase
In the second and final phase 59% of voting has been recorded. 93 Assembly Constituencies across 14 districts of North and Central Gujarat voted in today’s election. Among those who voted in the second phase of election were PM Narendra Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah.
Being the Home state of PM Narendra Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah, there is a palpable excitement all around and people all over India are waiting with excitement to know the results.
All eyes are on the election results which will be declared on 8th December. Then Gujarat Election has generated traction and massive interest, and nation will come to know whether BJP is able to win the election by breaking the election record achieved by Madhav Sinh Solanki. Whether Congress is able to hold on to 77 seats it won in 2017 assembly elections or Aam Aadmi Party is able to convert the interest it has generated into Assembly seats.
