Himachal Rajya Sabha Election: BJP Uproar in Himachal! 15 MLAs Expelled by Assembly Speaker in Congress Crisis

Himachal Rajya Sabha Election

Himachal Rajya Sabha Election: Congress made the decisions. Himachal Pradesh is in danger of collapsing as the BJP, the opposition, is calling for a showdown after garnering the only Rajya Sabha seat in the state through cross-voting by Congress MLAs. Because of their alleged misbehaviour and slogan-shouting, the assembly speaker today dismissed fifteen BJP MLAs. In the Rajya Sabha election, six Congress MLAs cast cross-party votes in support of the BJP.

Budget Session Turmoil

As the assembly’s Budget session was about to begin, the Speaker decided to remove the 15 BJP MLAs. They allegedly yelled slogans inside Speaker Kuldeep Singh Pathania’s chamber.

The following BJP MLAs have been expelled: Hans Raj, Janak Raj, Balbir Verma, Trilok Jamwal, Puran Thakur, Inder Singh Gandhi, Dileep Thakur, Hans Raj, Vipin Singh Parmar, Randheer Sharma, Lokender Kumar, Vinod Kumar, and Puran Thakur.

Jairam Thakur Fears Suspension of BJP MLAs Ahead of Budget

Jairam Thakur expressed worries that they will be banished earlier today. “We are apprehensive that Speaker Kuldeep Singh Pathania might suspend the BJP MLAs so that the budget can be passed in the Vidhan Sabha,” Thakur told reporters, news agency PTI reported.

Thanks to six ruling Congress MLAs cross-voting, the BJP’s Harsh Mahajan defeated Congressman Abhishek Manu Singhvi to win the lone Rajya Sabha seat in Himachal Pradesh yesterday. Thakur called for the resignation of Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu, claiming that the Rajya Sabha poll demonstrated that the Congress government was in a minority.

Himachal Pradesh Minister’s Resignation Exposes Cracks in Congress

Cracks in the party surfaced as a result of Himachal Pradesh minister Vikramaditya Singh’s resignation; the party is currently fighting to hold onto its supporters in order to maintain its government in place. Vikramaditya Singh is an MLA from Shimla Rural and the son of Virbhadra Singh, the former chief minister of Himachal Pradesh.

The Himachal Pradesh BJP has already asked Governor Shiv Pratap Shukla to step in and help resolve the problem inside the state’s ruling party. In the 68-member assembly, the BJP has 25 MLAs and the Congress 40. Independents occupy the final three seats.
