And this discussion is because Nikki Haley is considered a staunch opponent of China and Pakistan. In Nikki’s opinion, both these countries are enemies of human rights. America’s first female governor
Nikki Haley’s full name is Nimrata Nikki Randhawa Haley. She has the distinction of being the first female governor in America. While she has been the second governor of Indian origin. Before her, Bobby Jindal of Indian origin became the governor of Louisiana province. Nikki was a South Carolina MP from 2005 to 2011, while in 2017-18 she was the US Ambassador to the United Nations.
Nikki Haley has been related to the Sikh family of India. Her ancestors came to America from Amritsar. She was born on 20 January 1972 in South Carolina. Her father’s name is Ajit Singh Randhawa and mother’s name is Raj Kaur Randhawa. Both of them came from Amritsar and settled in America.
After graduating from Clemson University, Haley joined her family’s clothing business. Also worked for Best Management and Recycling Company. In the year 1996, she was married to Michael Haley.
Later on she got involved in social work. She was named to the Board of Directors of the Orangeburg County Chamber of Commerce in 1998 and then to the Board of Directors of the Lexington Chamber of Commerce in 2003. Haley became Treasurer of the National Association of Women Business Owners in 2003 and President in 2004.
