Not only love but also taunts are being tightened on Valentine’s Day. In Karnataka, the Congress has shared several memes targeting BJP leaders, including Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai and members of his cabinet. All the tweets shared by the official Twitter handle of the Karnataka Congress had the same caption – Happy Valentine’s Day from the BJP.
Congress shared a caricature of CM Bommai with a guitar in his hand and “40%” written on his heart. Alluding to allegations of state ministers taking 40 per cent commission for public works, the Congress wrote, “BJP loves 40% the most. Their love for 40% commission is like that of Romeo and Juliet.”
BJP state president targeted
The Congress took a jibe at BJP state president Nalin Kumar Kateel, who criticized the Congress over the anti-cow slaughter law in Karnataka, saying, “BJP people flirt with the cow, not love them.” Congress shared the caricature of Nalin Kumar. In which he has a gun in his hand and a cow is standing in front of him.
Tejashwi Surya was also attacked
The Congress also attacked BJP MP Tejashwi Surya, who was accused of opening the emergency gate of the Indigo flight. Congress also shared a caricature of Tejashwi Surya in which he is sitting on top of an aircraft. It reads, “Hate makes me do stupid things.”

Other BJP leaders attacked by the Congress included Health and Family Welfare Minister K Sudhakar, former Union minister Basanagouda Patil, BJP national general secretary CT Ravi, former minister KS Eshwarappa and state home minister Araga Gyanendra. Through these memes, the Congress has pulled up the BJP over allegations of corruption, lack of proper infrastructure.
Karnataka BJP (BJP) has also targeted the Congress on Tuesday. BJP tweeted that the previous Congress government had withdrawn the case against anti-national organization PFI and released thousands of anti-nationals from jail without considering the welfare of the society, but our government has destroyed the country by banning PFI.
