Lok Sabha Election 2024: Rahul Gandhi, the former chief of the Congress, said, “It is a fantasy poll and Modi poll,” on Sunday in response to the exit poll projections for the Lok Sabha elections. This is a Modi media poll, not an exit survey. It’s his fantasy poll,” he told reporters the day after exit polls predicted an unprecedented victory for the BJP-led NDA.
Rahul Gandhi’s Musical Analogy
He remarked, “Have you heard Sidhu Moose Wala’s song 295?,” in response to a question concerning the INDIA alliance’s seat numbers. Exit polls conducted by Axis My India predicted that the NDA will win a landslide, with seats ranging from 361 to 401. Nevertheless, the grand old party is anticipated to get more seats in Karnataka, Telangana, and Rajasthan than in any other state—roughly 131–166 seats.
Gandhi’s remark was made the day after leaders of a number of INDIA bloc parties convened in Delhi to assess the opposition’s readiness for the June 4 vote counting. They declared they would secure over 295 seats, which would enable them to establish the next administration. According to INDIA group leader Mallikarjun Kharge, a “people’s survey” involving feedback from the public led to the 295+ figure.
INDIA Bloc’s Seat Projection
“The INDIA bloc will get more than 295 seats. We have arrived at this figure after speaking with all our leaders,” Kharge told reporters. “This is a survey of people. People have given this information to our leaders. The government surveys are there and their media friends also inflate figures and put it out. Therefore, we want to tell you about the reality,” he added.
