Amit Shah won by a margin of 5 lakh votes in the 2019 Lok Sabha elections. Advani had previously prevailed by 4.83 lakh votes from the Gandhinagar seat.

BJP’s Historic Hold on Gandhinagar

For the past 35 years, the BJP has held the Gujarat seat of Gandhinagar. This seat was previously held by BJP leader LK Advani before Amit Shah. The BJP is thought to have a fairly secure seat in this one. Advani has six election victories from this seat. Since 2019, Amit Shah has been running for this seat. For the second time, Amit Shah has won Gandhinagar with a resounding victory.

This time, Congress leader Sonal Patel was matched against Amit Shah. Sonal was behind Amit Shah by a long way. Amit Shah received 1010972 votes overall, while she received only 266256 votes. Apart from this, the leader of Bahujan Samaj Party was at the third position, who got only 7394 votes.

On Tuesday, in an election where 2.18 lakh voters chose the NOTA (none of the above) option in the Lok Sabha elections, a record margin of 11,75,092 votes was gained by BJP’s current MP from Indore, Shankar Lalwani. According to a BJP leader, his victory margin is most likely the largest in the nation’s electoral history.

Union minister Virendra Kumar defeated Pankaj Ahirwar of the Congress by a margin of 4,03,312 votes to win the Tikamgarh (SC) seat. On April 29, the deadline for nomination withdrawals, Congress candidate Akshay Kanti Bam withdrew his candidacy, dealing a blow to the party’s chances of winning the Indore Lok Sabha seat.

Pritam Munde’s Landmark Victory

Numerous political figures have achieved unprecedented success in the Lok Sabha elections by garnering the greatest number of votes. At the top of this list is Pritam Munde, the daughter of BJP veteran leader Gopinath Munde. She had also surpassed Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s record in the 2014 Lok Sabha elections.

Pritam Munde, the daughter of Gopinath Munde, ran for office and received 9,22,416 votes. With 6,96,321 votes, she defeated Suresh Ramchandra of the NCP. With 4,99,541 votes, Suresh Ramchandra won. With 14,166 votes, Digambar Ramrao Rathore of the BSP finished third.
