Mahua Moitra: Recently, a video erupted on social media in which TMC’s Mahua Moitra can be seen hiding her Louis Vuitton bag as the inflation debate starts. Moitra was seen keeping her expensive bag under the table after the issue of ‘mehengai’ was being debated in the Lok Sabha.
The video was shared by a Twitter user named Ajay Datta. In the video, TMC’s Kakoli Ghosh seated next to Mahua Moitra can be seen raising the issue of ‘mehengai’. And as soon as Ghosh started speaking Mahua immediately slid her bag beneath the table.

As the video was shared it suddenly caused a movement on the social media platform with #LouisVuitton trending. Social media users reposted the video and criticised Moitra for her activity.

After being heavily trolled the MP took to Twitter in order to respond to the backlash she faced. “Jholewala fakir in Parliament since 2019. Jhola leke aye the jhola leke chal padenge,” her tweet read.
