Central government not paying dues – Bengal CM
Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee’s dharna demonstration was earlier going to be held in front of Ambedkar Murthy in Delhi, but later she decided to sit on dharna in Kolkata itself.
On her way to Bhubaneswar, Mamata had told on Tuesday that she would protest against the central government on March 29 and 30.
She has said that the central government is withholding the money of the common man. People’s employment money in Bengal will have to be returned to the Centre. Mamata said that the prices of gas are increasing. That’s why I am going to sit on dharna for two days.
Mamata said – Center owes 7 thousand crore rupees to the state
Mamata said that the central government owes Rs 7,000 crore to the state. She said that the government did not even clear the previous dues. The money for the housing scheme for the construction of 55 lakh houses has not yet been given. We are repairing bad roads in 12 thousand villages. I am doing all this with my own money. I get 1 lakh 15 thousand crore rupees from the center for 100 days work, road, housing.
Recently, Mamata had said that even if the employees want to behead them, the Bengal government cannot give them an increase in DA. She said this during the budget session of the state. She also called it an opposition-backed protest.
In fact, the government employees in Bengal were demanding an increase in Dearness Allowance (DA) at par with the Centre. On which Mamata had claimed that the TMC government is already giving 105% DA to its employees.
