Former Congress President Rahul Gandhi is on a tour of America these days. Here he is taking part in different programs and keeping his point on all the issues. Addressing Indians in San Francisco on Wednesday, Rahul claimed that Guru Nanak Dev had gone on a trip to Thailand. There has been a dispute over this claim of Rahul. Shiromani Akali Dal and BJP have targeted Rahul Gandhi regarding this. Akali Dal chief Sukhbir Badal said that Rahul Gandhi should refrain from speaking on a subject on which he does not have any knowledge.
In fact, when Rahul was addressing the Indians, some Sikhs hoisted Khalistani flags and raised slogans.
During this, Rahul stayed for some time. After this he said, I am seeing the Sikh brothers here. Your Guru Nanak ji’s whole life was for this. He believed that be polite, be affectionate.
Rahul mentioned about the travels of Guru Nanak
Referring to the Bharat Jodo Yatra, Rahul said that he had read somewhere that Guru Nanak had gone to Mecca, Saudi Arabia. He went to Thailand, he went to Sri Lanka. They were doing Bharat Jodo Yatra before we were born.
Rahul said, this is what I can say to my friends from Karnataka. Regarding Guru Basavanna. Similarly, I can say the same for Narayanguru ji to my friends from Kerala. These giants have happened in every state of India. Adi Shankaracharya, who said listen to each other, respect each other.
BJP, Akali Dal targeted Rahul
Sukhbir Badal said, Rahul Gandhi should refrain from speaking on subjects about which he has neither knowledge nor understanding. He clearly does not know that the vision of Shri Guru Nanak Dev Ji transcends geographical boundaries and is not only global but also temporal. To say that Guru Sahib went to Mecca or Thailand or Sri Lanka on Bharat Jodo Yatra is ridiculous.
Earlier, BJP leader Manjinder Singh Sirsa shared Rahul Gandhi’s video and tweeted, Dear Rahul Gandhi, in the name of stupidity, what should we keep forgiving? Where did you read that Guru Nanak went to Thailand? Should we not expect any understanding from you while talking about religion.
