New Delhi: Congress leader, Rahul Gandhi on July 29 confessed that "the government should not to waste more time of Parliament and let the opposition raise issues of inflation, farmers and Pegasus in the House". He tweeted, "the foundation of India's democracy is that Parliamentarians should be the voice of people and discuss issues of national importance, but the Modi government is not allowing this to happen". The opposition has been looking forward to have discussions on the Pegasus snooping issue and the repeal of the new farm laws in Parliament. There continues to be a silence in Parliament over the Pegasus snooping issue with the opposition demanding a discussion and a Supreme Court monitored probe into it while the government is saying it has not done any snooping. Earlier, Gandhi told the reporters "I am not a potential target. My phone is tapped, it is clearly tapped. Not only this phone, all my phones are tapped,". Rahul Gandhi has been revealed to be on target on a leaked list of Israeli spyware Pegasus, sold only to governments. He also mentioned that he had been told by security personnel that his conversations were monitored. Rahul also added that he get phone calls from IB (Intelligence Bureau) people who taps his phone. His security people tells him that they have to debrief what he says. He also added that even his friends received calls informing them that phones were tapped.
