MP News: Today, December 25, is the day that the Mohan Yadav government of Madhya Pradesh will expand its cabinet. In the afternoon, 25 to 28 leaders can become ministers by taking an oath. There are rumours that some former ministers might be given an opportunity in addition to the new arrivals. Following discussions with Chief Minister Mohan Yadav, the ministers’ names have received final approval from the central leadership.
Oath-Taking Ceremony Schedule
It is anticipated that the ministers will be sworn in at approximately 3:30 pm. Departments will be assigned to each of the new ministers collectively following the expansion of the cabinet. As you may recall, two Deputy Chief Ministers had taken an oath of office on December 13 in addition to Chief Minister Mohan Yadav.
Morning Meeting with Governor Patel
In their meeting with Governor Mangubhai Patel this morning, Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav presented the list of potential ministers. In light of the Lok Sabha elections, a limited expansion of the cabinet is planned, according to sources. After the elections, there will be more growth. “After achieving a landslide victory under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, our double engine government will move forward under the leadership of him and JP Nadda and Home Minister Amit Shah,” stated Mohan Yadav prior to the expansion of the cabinet.
High-Stakes Delhi Meetings
Earlier, CM Mohan Yadav had met many big leaders including party president JP Nadda in Delhi on Sunday. According to sources, the name of the cabinet has been finalized after the Chief Minister’s meeting with the central leaders. Among the possible names for the cabinet, MP-turned-MLA leaders may also get a chance. The names being discussed for ministerial post include Kailash Vijayvargiya, Prahlad Patel, Rakesh Singh, Gayatri Pawar, Gopal Bhargava, Sanjay Pathak, Tulsi Silavat, Hemant Khandelwal, Inder Singh Parmar, Pradyuman Tomar, Vishnu Khatri, Krishna Gaur, Nirmala Bhuria, Names of many leaders including Reeti Pathak, Nagar Singh Chauhan, Shailendra Jain and Narayan Singh Kushwaha are included.
Electoral Triumph for BJP
In the recent Madhya Pradesh Assembly elections, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) emerged victorious, securing 163 seats. In contrast, the Congress party now only has 66 seats. Following this, on December 13, Mohan Yadav took the oath of office as Chief Minister, forming the government. In addition to Mohan Yadav, Rajendra Shukla and Jagdish Deora also took an oath of office as deputy chief ministers.
