Samajwadi Party patriarch Mulayam Singh Yadav has been hospitalised. He was admitted to Gurgaon’s Medanta Hospital.
A statement or a medical bulletin is yet to be put out by the hospital. But the 81-year-old veteran politician is reportedly being treated for some age-related health issues.
According to sources, the former Uttar Pradesh chief minister was brought to the hospital on Wednesday evening.
“He was brought to the hospital after complaining of body ache and joint pain, and is undergoing treatment,” said a source.
In May 2020, the 81-year-old was admitted to a hospital in Lucknow after he complained of severe stomachache.
Then in October, he tested positive for Covid-19 and was admitted to the Medanta Hospital in Gurgaon.
Mulayam Singh Yadav has served as the Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh thrice (1989 to 1991, 1993 to 1995, and 2003 to 2007). He also served as the Minister of Defence in the HD Deve Gowda government.
