Nitin Gadkari’s hilarious response to the offer of joining Congress, report

Nitin Gadkari

During an event in Maharashtra’s Bhandara on Friday, Union Minister for Minister for Road Transport & Highways recollected an anecdote that he used as a response for the offer of joining Congress. When asked by late Congress leader Shrikant Jichkar to join Congress, Gadkari responded that he would rather jump into well than join congress.”Jichkar once told me – ‘You are a very good party worker and leader, and if you join the Congress, you will have a bright future’. But I told him that I would rather jump into a well than join the Congress because I had strong faith in the BJP and its ideology and would continue to work for it,” Gadkari said.

Attack on Congress

The gathering in Bhandara marked the completion of BJP’s 9-year rule in the center. Gadkari showered huge praise for the work being done by the BJP and remarked that country’s future is very bright under the leadership of PM Modi. He launched a bursting attack on days of Congress’s rule “We should not forget the history of our country’s democracy. We should learn from the past for the future. During its 60 years of rule, the Congress gave the slogan of ‘Garibi Hatao’ (eliminate poverty), but opened a series of educational institutions for personal gains.”
