Chief Minister Nitish Kumar and his deputy Tejashwi Prasad Yadav are anticipated to canvass support for the Mahagathbandhan candidates running in the November 3 byelections for the Mokama and Gopalganj assembly seats. In a few days, the two leaders will speak together at gatherings in Mokama and Gopalganj.
CM and deputy CM would hold joint rallies in Mokama and Gopalganj, according to RJD national general secretary Bhola Yadav, who himself was campaigning on Tuesday for RJD candidate Neelam Devi, the wife of strongman and former MLA Anant Singh. The final schedule has not been prepared, but they are expected to jointly campaign soon. He said Mahagathbandhan will win both seats.
On Wednesday, Neelam is also anticipated to receive support from JD(U) national president Rajiv Ranjan, commonly known as Lalan Singh, who is thought to be Anant’s fiercest rival. Sanjeet Kumar Singh, also known as Manager Singh, a close assistant to Anant, stated that Lalan will campaign, perform roadshows, and speak at public gatherings in several panchayats throughout the Mokama constituency. Sanjeet stated that Lalan “is anticipated to run a daylong campaign from 10 am to 6 pm.”
