Today Prime Minister Narendra Modi has reached Gujarat. On a two-day visit, PM Modi did a road show in Surat today. During this, thousands of people reached and gave a grand welcome to PM Modi. PM Modi laid the foundation stone and inaugurated various projects worth over Rs 3400 crore in Surat. After this he addressed a public meeting.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi said, “Surat is an example of four ‘P’s, People, Public, Private & Partnership. This model makes Surat special. If Surat city is branded then every sector and company will be branded automatically. Surat is one of the fastest growing cities in the world today.”
He said that today people from every corner of India live on the land of Surat. Surat is mini Hindustan.

Surat has a great potential for sewerage treatment in two decadesIn Surat, 80 thousand houses were built for the poor. After the formation of the double engine government, there has been an increase in the construction of houses. The poor and middle class have started getting many other facilities.

The Prime Minister also mentioned about the Ayushman Bharat Yojana in his address. He said, “Under Ayushman Bharat scheme, 4 crore poor patients have got free treatment in the country. Of these, 32 lakh are from Gujarat and 1.25 lakh patients are from Surat. Under PM Svanidhi Yojana, about 35 lakh friends of the country have got loans from banks without guarantee.
What did PM Modi say on Dream City Project?
Prime Minister Narendra Modi further said, “Surat’s textile and diamond business (Diamond Trade in Surat) runs the home of many families of the country. When the Dream City project is completed, Surat will be known as the safest and most convenient diamond trading place in the world. The day is not far when Surat will be recognized as a modern office space for diamond traders and companies around the world. Not only this, a few months back, the Central Government has given approval for Surat Powerloom Mega Cluster. This will solve the problems related to pollution.”
PM Modi said, “The people of Surat have seen the long struggle for the airport. Then we got tired of telling the government in Delhi that why Surat needs an airport, today see how many flights operate from here and how many people land here everyday at the airport. You will remember that the same situation was with the metro as well, but today when there is a double engine government, the approval is also received at a faster pace and the work is done equally fast.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi will flag off the Vande Bharat Express train on Friday, 30 September. This program will take place at around 10.15 am. The special thing here is that PM Modi himself will also board the Vande Bharat Express and reach Kalupur railway station. After this, PM Modi will start 2 routes of Metro train from Kalupur at 11.30 am. At the same time, at 12.30 pm, Modi will address a public meeting at AES ground in Ahmedabad. On the evening of 30, PM Modi will offer prayers at Ambaji temple and will inaugurate the new railway line at Ambaji. Will leave for Delhi from Ahmedabad in the night.
