Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday inaugurated and laid the foundation stone for several projects in Coimbatore. First, the Prime Minister paid tribute to former Tamil Nadu CM MG Ramachandran and J Jayalalithaa. Subsequently, he also inaugurated 4,144 houses for the people in Tiruppur, Madurai and Tiruchirappalli districts. On this occasion, Prime Minister Narendra Modi said that Tamil Nadu is playing an important role in India’s industry growth. Continuous power supply is necessary for industry growth.
Prime Minister Modi said that today the country is getting two big power projects and the foundation of another power project is being laid. Modernization of Bhawani Sagar Dam will irrigate more than two lakh acres of land. Many districts will benefit from this project. This project will benefit our farmers.
Prime Minister Modi while referring to the efforts of the great freedom fighter VO Chidambaram (VOC) said that his vision for a vibrant Indian shipping industry and maritime development inspires us a lot. He said that Tamil Nadu has a glorious history in terms of maritime trade and port-led development.
PM Modi said, I am very happy to come to Coimbatore. It is a city of industries and innovation. Today we are starting many development works here which will benefit Coimbatore and the whole of Tamil Nadu. He said that I am very happy to start various projects related to VO Chidambaram Port.
The Prime Minister said that the truth is that this current NDA government has created a ministry for fisheries in 2019. The budget allocated for fisheries has exceeded 80% in just 2 years. In the previous NDA government of Atal ji, a ministry was formed for the tribal communities. Today the Congress seats in Parliament are the lowest! Their culture of feudalism, patronage, dynasty politics is ending! India is young, aspiring and visionary.
The Prime Minister said that I want Puducherry to be the best! NDA wants to make Puducherry the best. By Best I mean – B- Business Hub e-Shiksha Hub S- Spiritual Hub T- Tourism Hub. NDA government reforms in various sectors will help in IT, Pharma, Textiles and many other fields. The government is encouraging start-ups under the Start-up India program. Recent PLI schemes will help entrepreneurs.
