Prime Minister Narendra Modi arrived on Saturday at the 400th Prakash Parv of the ninth Sikh Guru Tegh Bahadur in the capital Delhi’s Shishganj Gurudwara and paid homage to him.
Modi tweeted, ‘Today I prayed in Gurdwara Shishganj Sahib. We can never forget the life, ideals and supreme sacrifice of Shri Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji. ”BJP national secretary RP Singh was also present with him on this occasion.
PM Modi has also tweeted some of his pictures, in which he is seen bowing his head. According to sources in the Prime Minister’s Office, when Modi visited the gurudwara, no police arrangements were made on the streets at the time and no barricades were erected in view of the convenience of the common people.
Prime Minister Modi was wearing a mask during this period and he duly offered prayers there and also greeted the people present there.

Earlier, Modi said in another tweet, ‘I salute him on the special occasion of the 400th Prakash Parv of Shri Guru Tegh Bahadur. He is respected all over the world for his efforts and courage to serve the backward. He refused to bow down to injustice and tyranny. His supreme sacrifice gives strength and inspiration to many people.
